Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Guidelines for writing articles in Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (JMRI) are as follows:

  1. Articles should align with the focus and scope of JMRI. Detailed information can be found in the journal's Focus and Scope.

  2. Manuscripts must follow the journal's style and template. Authors are required to use the provided article template, which can be downloaded from the following link Download a template of Manuscript 

  3. Articles must review relevant and updated themes, demonstrate analytical rigor, and ensure no plagiarism. Authors must complete an originality statement form during submission.

  4. The structure of the article should follow these guidelines:

    • Title: A maximum of 15 words, written in sentence case, bold, 14 pt font.
    • Author’s Name: List a maximum of 5 authors (without academic titles), including affiliation and email address.
    • Abstract: 150–250 words in English or Indonesian, summarizing the problem, objectives, methods, findings, and conclusion. Avoid citations and abbreviations.
    • Keywords: consist 3-5 keywords.
    • Introduction: Include research background, context, theoretical gaps, novelty, and objectives.
    • Research Methods: Brief but clear, including the type of research, population, sample, and analysis techniques.
    • Results and Discussion: Interpret findings, relate them to existing research, and discuss implications and limitations.
    • Conclusion: Provide a concise synthesis of key findings and their significance.
    • Funding and Acknowledgments: If applicable, include funding sources and credits.
    • References: Use APA 7th edition citation style. At least 80% of references should be primary sources published in the last 10 years.
  5. Articles must be written in English or Indonesian and formatted according to the following specifications:

    • Paper size: A4 (210 x 297 mm)
    • Margins: Top 2.5 cm, Left 3 cm, Bottom and Right 2 cm. 
    • Font: Cambria, 11 pt
    • Spacing: 1,15 spaced
    • Length: maximum 20 pages, including figures and tables
  6. Tables and figures must be professionally formatted and numbered consecutively. Tables should not use vertical lines, and figures should be of high resolution.

  7. Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s online submission system and include the manuscript file and a brief academic biography of the author(s).

  8. References must be managed using applications like Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero and adhere to the APA 7th edition format. A minimum of 15 references is required.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
